Study: Sockeye salmon genome assembly and annotation
show Abstracthide Abstract
The goal of this project was to sequence and assemble a reference genome assembly for sockeye salmon using a combination of sequencing technologies and assembly programs. RNA-seq was performed from multiple tissues to help in the NCBI annotation pipeline. The sample tissues used for genome sequencing and RNA-seq came from female sockeye salmon siblings.
